About Kinnelon Conserves
Kinnelon Conserves is a grassroots environmental initiative conceived by
Avery Hart and co-founded with Jo Sippie-Gora and Belinda Hull in late 2006. Working with a group of grassroots members including school, government, library, faith leaders and interested residents, we have worked to boost environmental awareness in Kinnelon.
We thank our student volunteers, including Connor Horton, Matt Vail, Richad Becker, Sam Scarfone, Kendall Finn, Marissa Weis, Ryan Neff, Justine Scarfone, Matt Scorza and others past and present.
We thank supporting residents: Arden Knudsen, Mary Derstine, Lori Cohen, Dana Spies, Susan Clancy, Donna Perch, Camille Gaines, Julia Puccia, Audrey Finn, Junie Moon, Janet Windeknecht, Pam Meredith, Library Director Barbara Owen, Monsignor Carroll of OLM, David DeSmith of St. David's Church, Mayor Sisco and DWP head, John Whitehead.
Our annual Earth Day Fair is created in cooperation with the amazing energetic and efficient educator Noreen LaFergula. During 2007 - 2008, 285 residents signed on as members of Kinnelon Conserves, by taking a pledge to reduce their use of energy and natural resources.
Kinnelon Conserves is not a 501(c)(3). It is an "out of pocket" all the way. If you would like to support our activities or join our group, please contact us. kinnconserves@optonline.net
